RENTAL INFORMATION
A Center for the Arts rents out the 407-seat Fergus Theatre to many different for-profit and non-profit groups wishing to hold a performance, film screening, meeting, or other special event in the space (even weddings!). Below you will find a list of rental rates and various charges for using the facility, equipment, and personnel.
Please remember, A Center for the Arts is a very busy place with shows, rehearsals, and classes. The Center tries to plan its calendar about a year and a half in advance, so if you want a certain date, please contact the Center as soon as possible to reserve it. There is a non-refundable $100 deposit required to hold a requested date for rental.
For Profit Facility Rental Rate
Facility (12-hour day)
- $750 for 1st show, $500 for a second show on the same day
- This is for a 12-hour period and includes basic lighting wash, podium, and one microphone
- There will be a $100 per hour charge for each hour exceeding the 12-hour period
Facility (hourly rate)
- $150 per hour
- 2 hour minimum
- Includes basic lighting wash, podium, and one microphone
Additional Charges for Personnel
- Renters must use the Center’s House Manager and Stage Manager. The Stage Manager will remain in the building as long at the renter is there to make sure everything is locked up and properly shut down.
- $35.00 per hour per person for: Stage Hands/Loaders, Lights, Sound, Spot Light Operator, Stage Manager
- $15.00 per hour per person for: Ticket Sellers, Ushers, Concessions, House Manager
- If the Center is responsible for ticket sales, the renter must use the Center’s ticket-selling personnel
- If you go through training on our facility, you are allowed to provide your own ushers, sound and light crew upon the Center’s approval.
Non-Profit Facility Rental Rate
Facility (12-hour day)
- $450 for 1st show, $300 for a second show on the same day
- This is for a 12-hour period and includes basic lighting wash, podium, and one microphone
- There will be a $50 per hour charge for each hour exceeding the 12-hour period
Facility (hourly rate)
- Includes basic lighting wash, podium, and one microphone
- $75 per hour

Other Charges for Both Profit and Non-Profit Rentals
- Piano Tuning: $70 fee
- Use of Piano: $100 fee
- Use of Projector (does not include film itself): $25 per hour
- Use of Follow-Spots: $20 per hour
- Use of Movie Screen: $15 fee
- Use of Marley Dance Floor: $200 fee (if damaged, renter will replace damaged section)
- The Center’s Hearing Impaired/Assisted Listening System goes with the facility. There will be a charge if an Audio Describer is requested for the visually impaired.

The Bakken Building – Large Rehearsal Space
Our Large Rehearsal Space is 1200 square feet (24 x 50) and includes a piano, sound reinforcement for playback, several mics, and sprung floor.
The Rate is $125.00/per 8 hour day ($15.63 per hour), or $25/hour.
BAKKEN SPEC SHEET
The Bakken Building – Small Rehearsal Space
Our Small Rehearsal Space is 496 square feet (31 x 16) and includes a piano, laminate flooring and a 12×12 area carpet for youth.
The Rate is $65/per 8 hour day ($8.13 per hour), or $15/hour.
